Lezzeno

A small and charming village

Lezzeno is very next to Bellagio, on the east coast of Como Lake, composed of 17 portions. The found ruins prove that this area was already populated during the Romanian era.

The historic centre isn’t very big but it its squares are  extremely lovely. The Church dedicated to the Saints Quirico and Giuditta is the most important of the village. It was built during the XV century and it is characterized by simple contours and luxurious interiors.  Also the Church of the Santissima Trinità is worth to visit, it have recently been restored and here it is possible to admire thirteenth-century frescos.

Furthermore, in Lezzeno you can taste delicious lake fish plates, such as the “Missoltini” in typical restaurants directly on the lake.
